Calcium Kick for Improving Soil
Calcium Kick by Plagron is a pH corrector that helps prevent deficiencies, too. It is added to your substrate when you prepare the mixture for your pots or it is mixed with soil to improve substrate quality in places that have already been cultivated intensively.
It is a solid product that does not dissolve easily in water, so it is must not be used in automatic water systems. It consists of 50% calcium and 50% magnesium, highly useful when preparing soil either before planting or transplanting.
What Does Calcium Kick Do?
Its main purpose is to prevent deficiencies in plants fed with osmosis or soft water. Besides, it is also in charge of balancing your soil's pH once it has been properly mixed. It keeps your soil stable as the weeks go by, something that may not always be the case even when you keep good control of your water's pH.
These pH fluctuations are generally due to the application of chemical/mineral fertilizers and to your plants' roots, which alter the pH levels since they absorb some nutrients faster than others. Use Terra Aquatica PH Drop Tester to keep them under control.
How to use Calcium Kick:
- Add 2.5-5g per L of substrate and mix well
- This quantity will raise pH around 1 to 2 points
