Everything about Critical
Critical effects
Critical produces effects that perfectly intermingle sativa’s euphoria with indica’s relaxation. Its composition enables a joyful and happy initial high that will enhance social gatherings and friends’ reunions. Posterior effects are perceived as relaxing and sedative over the following hours.
Critical flavor and aroma
Critical tastes are similar to lemon but not as acidic. This variety mixes citrus notes with exotic and fruity tinges that create a sensory experience when consumed. Its aromas, which are also citrus and fruity, classify it as one of the most potent skunks on the market. Highly suitable for experienced growers and smokers, as they will easily detect it thanks to the unmistakable presence of lemon aromas that characterizes this strain.
How to grow Critical indoors?
For indoor growing, the feminized version of Critical will harvest in 56-63 days of flowering, after which we can harvest between 500-600 grams from a single square meter. This yield is possible if you grow 16 plants and keep only the central bud.
Critical can be categorized as a strain that tolerates high levels of fertilizers perfectly. However, we recommend keeping fertilizer doses a little below the manufacturers' recommendations. It is also important to regularly check the EC and pH levels of the irrigation water, as well as to use the correct lighting for this type of strain. We recommend LED bulbs for their low power consumption and light heat production.
Critical seeds can be considered as an easy to grow strain, which will give advantageous results to less experienced growers and incredible yields to more experienced growers. It is advisable to install effective anti-odor filters in your grow room, as when it starts to produce resin its strong smell can become a problem.
How to grow Critical outdoors?
Critical seeds stand out for their great insect resistance when grown outdoors. However, their fungi strength is not so great and requires Propolix before flowering takes place.
Special care should be taken in order to prevent over fertilization that could damage plants’ development. This strain develops optimally in mild and Mediterranean climates, but excessive humidity should be avoided. It could benefit from different growth methods such as SOG or SCROG and different pruning techniques, such as apical or FIM, should be performed in order to avoid oidium or botrytis infestations. This strain will be ready for harvest by mid-end of September and it can yield around 500-600 g/per plant, provided that it has received proper care and staking.
With these applications and due to the large size of its buds, we can avoid the appearance of powdery mildew and botrytis. Our plants will be ready to cut in mid to late September, from where we can extract from a single plant an amount between 750 grams and 1 kilo if we provide it with the best care and use tutors.
Critical seeds are a perfect and ideal variety to carry out our indoor crops, due to its small size and fast flowering. This plant concentrates its powerful production in its central bud, so it can be considered really pleasing to the eye.
Undoubtedly, Critical is considered one of the best valued and most cultivated cannabis strains over the last decades. Its beginnings date back to the 1970s in California, where there was a great interest in selecting and crossing new cannabis strains. They were based on Colombian, Thai, Mexican and Indian strains, among others, to make possible the majority of genetics that we know today.
Over the years, exceptional genetics were developed, such as Critical Mass, a version of Big Bud crossed by the breeder Neville Schoenmakers. Subsequently, different seed banks developed their versions of Critical, which have won different trophies and cannabis cups for their incredible yields, unique aromas and potent THC levels. Where to buy Critical will no longer be an unanswered question, as GB Seeds offers the highest quality with its feminized bulk strain.
