Root It Natural Rooting Sponges are biodegradable, organic sponges that allow you to easily root and germinate clones and seeds. They’re rectangular in shape with a double hole on the top, and come in brown color with a smooth/spongey texture.

When using these particular seedling plugs you’ll notice a dramatic change in your success rate if you’ve tried to clone plants before and had issues. They’ll root much faster, gaining a few days in the process which can be a great help.

They’re made out of an organic mix of peat and bark and vegetable polymers which give them the perfect texture; they’re more breathable more than classic coco coir Jiffy pellets.

The larger hole is for putting the seed in, and the smaller hole is just underneath it, which is used for putting the stem from your cuttings.

When germinating, make sure that you’ve drained out all excess water so that they don’t rot – you can squeeze them softly using your hands, just like jiffy plugs.
