Description
Hooch is one of the jewels of Purple City Genetics' 2023 Golden State Collection, a feminized hybrid seed with indica dominance, resulting from the cross between Slurty 3 and Street Guru (Gush Mints × Oreo).
This combination gives rise to a modern, very potent plant with showcase visual appeal: ultra-compact buds, loaded with trichomes and with dark tones that stand out even in the jar. Its genetics have been designed to offer a perfect balance between production, flavor, and ease of cultivation, making it suitable for both expert growers and those who are just starting but want something "top" from the beginning.
Indoors, it completes flowering in about 8–9 weeks, with yields that can range between 500 and 600 g/m², while outdoors it can easily exceed 600 g per plant under optimal conditions. Thanks to its compact and branched structure, it works very well in discreet grow tents and intensive setups like SOG or SCROG.
With Hooch, Purple City Genetics doesn't beat around the bush: it's a dominant indica with very high THC, designed for consumers with medium-to-high tolerance who are looking for a powerful and enveloping effect. The impact is felt quickly, with a wave of physical relaxation that runs through the body and helps release muscle tension, accumulated daily weight, and nerves. It is an ideal strain for unwinding in the late afternoon or evening, lying on the sofa, or enjoying music, series, or quiet conversations.
Mentally, the high combines an initial euphoric point with a warm and dense sensation that invites introspection and deep relaxation. It is not a genetic designed for working or performing complex tasks, but rather for slowing down, relieving stress, and putting the mind in "off" mode.
The aromatic profile of Hooch by Purple City Genetics is one of its greatest appeals. From the flowering phase, it already begins to show a strong "candy gas" smell: a mix between sweet fuel, candy, and creamy nuances, with menthol and herbal touches inherited from its parents Slurty 3 and Street Guru (Gush Mints × Oreo). When opening the jar after curing, the buds release an intense aroma that fills the air and makes it clear that this is a modern, elegant, and very terpene-rich genetic.
In the mouth, the flavor remains dense and complex: a very marked gas/diesel base, sweet candy-like layers, and a creamy background that rounds out each puff. This combination is often associated with terpenes such as limonene (citrus sweetness), caryophyllene (spicy and gassy notes), and linalool or myrcene (creamy, herbal, and relaxing sensation). The result is a flavorful, persistent smoke, perfect for smokers who appreciate intense profiles as well as for those who work with extractions in search of aroma-packed concentrates.
Hooch is designed for a rewarding and uncomplicated cultivation experience. Indoors, it develops a compact structure, clearly indica dominant, with strong lateral branches and enough space for light to penetrate if a small strategic pruning or defoliation is performed. It completes flowering in about 8–9 weeks, with typical yields of 500–600 g/m² when accompanied by good lighting, balanced nutrition, and a stable climate. It responds very well to techniques such as topping, FIM, or SCROG, with which a uniform canopy of hard, resin-laden buds can be created.
Outdoors, in temperate or warm climates, it shows its full potential, forming a wide and robust bush, with flowers that fatten quickly and become covered in trichomes from the first weeks of flowering. Harvest usually occurs at the end of September, which is ideal for avoiding autumn rains and mold problems. In mother earth and with good sun, it can exceed 600 g per plant, offering a brutal combination of quality, flavor, and production.
