How to use the GB Vacuum Sealer
The GB Vacuum Sealer can be used in two ways:
Vacuum Sealing Mode
- Place the open end of the bag into the vacuum chamber, ensuring it is below the air valve. The food should not reach the top.
- Close the lid: Lower the top lid and press both sides to secure it. Then, lock the side latches.
- The machine will automatically begin to extract air. The green light will illuminate during this process.
- Automatic sealing: Once the air is removed, the sealing mode is automatically activated. The green light will turn off, and the red light will turn on.
- End of process: When the green light turns on again, the process is complete. You can activate the release valve to relieve pressure.
- Unlock the side latches, open the lid, and remove the vacuum-sealed bag.
Seal-Only Mode (without vacuum)
- Open the machine and insert the end of the bag into the sealing chamber.
- Close the two side latches and press the seal button for 3 seconds until the green light changes to red.
- Gently press the area marked "PUSH" to improve contact and ensure a good seal.
- When the red light turns green, the process is complete, and you can remove the bag.
Tips for proper use of your vacuum sealer
To ensure effective sealing, extend the life of your machine, and keep food in optimal condition, consider the following recommendations:
- Do not overfill the bag: Fill it only up to ¾ of its capacity to allow for a clean and efficient seal.
- Correct placement: Make sure to insert the open end of the bag into the vacuum chamber, between the upper and lower gaskets.
- Use vacuum-sealable bags designed for food use. When placing them, orient the smooth side upwards.
- Preheat the machine: Wait 30 seconds after turning it on before using it for the first time.
- Avoid overheating: Allow the machine to rest for 1 to 2 minutes after each use.
- Clear space and clean end: Leave sufficient margin at the open end of the bag and ensure it is clean, dry, and free of wrinkles or residue to achieve a hermetic seal.
- Avoid sharp objects: Do not seal foods with thorns, hard bones, or sharp shells that could puncture the bag.
- Responsible use: Never use the machine without inserting a bag, as this can damage the sealing system.
