Description

Pipe Polyethylene Connector to Extend Pipes

It’s pretty common to cut your piping too short accidentally or to end up with a leak in your piping that you need to fix. Sometimes you may need to expand your GSE Watering Timer, which usually requires cutting your piping and adding on an extra length.

Connect two different pipes without leakages

These union adapters are super easy to use and allow you to connect two different lengths of piping without leaking or accidental pipe bursts. All of these pieces are threaded so that, even if your system has high pressure, none of them can burst or come off due to excessive pressure.

How to attach a 25 mm Union Fitting

  • Remove one of the ends of the fitting, and three pieces should come out; a threaded clamp, a plastic washer and a grommet.
  • First, you’ll need to place the end of the union on your piping, then the clamp – do not push it down too far or it could become stuck. All of these parts should be near the tip of the piping.
  • Next, slip on the plastic washer and lastly the grommet. There should be about 5-10 mm of pipe at the top for it to fit in the union properly. If everything fits, screw the end of the union back on the union itself.
  • If it isn’t screwing in, remove it and repeat the process until it screws in properly – you probably placed it on at an angle. If you have a lot of water pressure in your watering system, you’ll probably be better off tightening it with a faucet wrench if you have one handy.

When taking the union apart to attach it to your piping, pay close attention to the order that the parts come out in; you’ll need to place them back in the same order they came out in to make sure that there are no leaks.
