These Solux ballasts are specifically designed for LEC lighting systems; these kinds of bulbs offer a specific light spectrum based on a combination of blue and red colors. To help guarantee an even longer life-span, the ballast has an automatic temperature control system, capable of reducing power up to 80% in the case that the internal temperature of the ballast reaches over 85ºC. If it reaches 90ºC it will stop working entirely until the temperature goes down to 70ºC. Use an Infrared Laser Thermometer to make sure the temperature is correct.
