Description
White Truffles is the resulting variety from two strains that stand out for their resin production capacity: Gorilla Butter and New Glue. Thus, this stabilized strain is one of most favorite genetics for all cannabis extract lovers.
At GB Strains, we’ve decided to call this strain “white truffles” because during the last stage of the flowering period, the buds look like a snow layer has completely covered them.
This strain has very high THC levels, reaching the 25% in most of the phenotypes. On the other hand, its balance dominance will allow you to experience energizing, creative effects after consumption to end up in a very pleasurable, relaxing and therapeutic state.
White Truffles' organoleptic properties are such a delight for the palate. It has a very mixed flavor with spicy, earthy and vanilla tones, as well as having diesel undertones that combine perfectly with those. Also, those flavors can be noticed in the aroma, which sometimes can be too strong, forcing us to use anti-odor products in order to not to draw attention.
One of the greatest benefits inherited by White Truffles parental cross is the ease of growth. Gorilla Butter had always been a hard to grow plant, a reduced difficulty thanks to the easy New Glue genetics.
Also, another feature is the resistance to plagues and its size hardly ever exceeds 1.2 m (4 ft) indoors. Still, 8-9 weeks after flowering, we’ll be able to get from 400-500 g of large and thick buds perfect for extractions.
For outdoor growing, it is important to control the size of this strain as it can easily exceed 2 m (6.5 ft) in height. Thus, in case of having enough space to grow it, it would be necessary to perform a proper plant training to prevent the branches from breaking when holding its enormous buds.
On the other hand, White Truffles need great amounts of phosphorus and potassium during the flowering period, so introducing products such as Big Boom or Compactor Boom will help us to make the most of its development. In summary, under optimal conditions and following these tips, we’ll be able to harvest, in early-mid October, from 700 to 900 g of flowers completely covered by “snow”.
