Description
Big Z is a hybrid strain from Cookies Seed Bank that comes from the cross between two exceptional parent strains, Zkittlez and Runtz, from which it has inherited its irresistible sweet and fruity flavors. However, it has improved its yields and ease of cultivation (especially regarding trimming), while also enhancing its THC levels.
Big Z offers a perfect balance between the psychoactive and physical effects typical of hybrid plants. The mental high is moderate, providing a pleasant uplift and a sense of tranquility that does not become overwhelming. Physically, it induces a soft and enjoyable relaxation without reaching sedation, making it an ideal strain for use at any time of day.
The THC levels typically range between 20% and 22%, but with advanced cultivation techniques and optimal nutrition, it can exceed 25%, offering a more intense experience for more experienced users.
Thanks to its parent strains, Big Z features an unmistakable sweet and fruity flavor profile. It is dominated by berry aromas, with citrusy and spicy notes that add an extra layer of complexity. Some phenotypes may even develop earthy notes, making it appealing to lovers of old-school varieties.
Big Z excels in indoor cultivation due to its vigor and ease of handling. Compared to its parent strains, it has a faster flowering cycle and a more favorable leaf-to-bud ratio, which simplifies the trimming process.
On the other hand, it responds very well to training techniques like LST and SCROG, allowing for easy growth control. Yields usually range between 300 and 400 grams per square meter, with harvest times of 8 to 9 weeks, although some phenotypes can be ready in just 7 weeks.
Outdoors, Big Z reaches its full potential, especially in warm areas with good sun exposure, where it can grow up to 2 or 3 meters tall. Besides, its robust structure makes it resistant to various types of stress, and its foliage can display purple and green colors, offering an impressive visual aesthetic.
Under optimal conditions, it can produce between 800 and 1000 grams per plant, with harvest occurring between early and mid-October, although some phenotypes may be ready for harvest by late September.
