These full extraction fan kits make it incredibly easy to control the temperature and air flow in your growing area; depending on the extractor you’ll get more or less air flow, and the rest of the kit will be balanced perfectly with your extractor fan’s power.

Calculate the needed extraction speed and obtain the perfect ventilation for the grow area

In order to calculate the extraction speed that you need, you simply need to multiply the square meters of your available space by 60; if you’re growing in a 1.2 x 1.2 x 2 m area, then you should multiply 2.88 x 60, which is 172.8 m³/h. You’ll need to add about 20% on to that if you keep in mind the air resistance provided by the tube and odor filter, so you’d need around 210 m³/h for the previously mentioned area.

This calculation can also vary depending on the temperature of the air outside; if you’re over 20º outdoors you might need a Ceramic Forced Air Heater indoors if you’re using HPS lights.
