BAC pH Down: Irrigation Water pH Regulator for Cannabis Crops

Controlling pH is essential for plants to make the most of fertilizers. When the water's pH is out of range, roots cannot properly absorb nutrients, no matter how good your feeding schedule is. With BAC pH Down, you precisely adjust the acidity of irrigation water in soil, coco, hydroponics, and aeroponics, ensuring that each watering reaches your plants at the optimal point.

This prevents blockages, deficiencies, and imbalances that hinder growth or compromise flowering, even when using high-quality fertilizers. Furthermore, its updated formulation offers clear advantages:

  • Updated formula with 59% phosphoric acid: more stable and more compatible with microorganisms than traditional nitric acid-based correctors.
  • Better for crops with microbial life: gentler on mycorrhizae, beneficial bacteria, and living substrates.
  • Suitable for any growing method: soil, coco, hydroponics, and aeroponics without the need for additional products.
  • Ideal for hard water: helps neutralize bicarbonates and prevent unwanted pH spikes.
  • High concentration: small doses correct large volumes of water, making it a long-lasting and cost-effective product.

Why is it so important to lower the pH of irrigation water?

An out-of-range pH prevents roots from properly absorbing nutrients. This leads to deficiencies, yellowing leaves, slow growth, and poor harvests, even if the feeding schedule is perfect. For cannabis, it is recommended to work with a pH between 5.5–5.8 during growth and 6.2–6.8 during flowering, depending on the substrate.

With BAC pH Down, you can bring your irrigation water to that optimal range, maintaining a stable and easy-to-control nutrient solution.

How to use BAC pH Down step-by-step and recommended doses

Using BAC pH Down is very simple, but it is advisable to follow a sequence to ensure precise adjustment and avoid pH fluctuations that can affect nutrient absorption. Follow these steps:

  1. Fill your watering can or reservoir with clean water.
  2. Add base fertilizers and boosters according to your growing schedule.
  3. Mix well and measure the pH of the nutrient solution.
  4. If the value is too high, add BAC pH Down little by little, always in small doses.
  5. Stir, let it sit for a couple of minutes, and measure the pH again.
  6. Repeat the process if necessary until you are within the appropriate range for your crop.

In crops that include beneficial microorganisms (mycorrhizae, trichodermas, live bacteria), it is important to adjust the pH first and add the live products afterward, to avoid affecting their viability.

The doses of BAC pH Down depend on the crop, but should always be adjusted by measuring. In soil, use 0.1–0.3 mL/10 L during growth (pH 5.8–6.3) and 0.1–0.4 mL/10 L during flowering (pH 6.2–6.8). In coco, apply 0.2–0.5 mL/10 L (pH 5.5–6.0). In hydroponics/aeroponics, 0.2–0.6 mL/10 L (pH 5.5–5.8). With hard water, adjust gradually and measure after each correction.
