History of Pajarito Truffles

Pajarito Truffles are a Mexican psilocybe sub-species that grows in moss and in humid prairies. Its name is due to the fact that its sclerotium is quite small in comparison to other truffle species.

First of all, let’s make it clear that these magic truffles are sold for ornamental or mycological study purposes. They are not suitable for human consumption under any circumstances.

The accidental ingestion of these truffles could cause the following effects:

These effects will start 15-45 minutes after its accidental consumption and last between 3-6 hours.

Conservation method

• Pajaritos truffles can be stored in the fridge for up to one week with the package closed.
• Once open, the truffles lose their properties in a maximum of three days.
• If you want to preserve them for longer, dry them. This way, they’ll retain their properties for approximately 2 years (inside an airtight container stored in a fresh, dry and dark place).
• Remember that psilocybin content is different in dry and fresh truffles.
