Runtz Auto by Barney’s Farm comes from two historic and legendary strains such as Runtz and BG Super Auto #1. This autoflowering version comes from a successful attempt at making Runtz autoflowering, producing the same aromas, flavors and yields in much shorter times. Plus, it doesn’t need as much care as the normal version thanks to its Ruderalis genes.

These plants are quite similar to the feminized version, although they grow slightly smaller – still quite big for an autoflowering plant. This strain is indica-dominant, so it’s super easy to grow while also producing large, resinous flowers all over.

Thanks to its indica-dominance, it produces relaxing and pleasing effects – its 30% sativa side can also produce euphoric and energetic effects. You can easily distinguish various different aromas from this plant thanks to its genes.

Learn to Grow Runtz Auto Indoors

Runtz Auto by Barney’s Farm is a fast plant that can mature in just 63 – 70 days after germination. With the right type of care, your plants might grow up to 1 – 1.2m tall, making it an average-sized autoflowering plant.

Keep in mind that, although this plant is an indica-dominant auto, we don’t recommend pruning it at all as it doesn’t grow that tall and it’s usually quite branchy anyway.

This strain is quite easy to grow, producing a juicy central stem. We recommend giving it a light-schedule of 18 – 20h in order to improve yield as much as possible. We also recommend using organic products in order to improve aromas and sweet flavors. When done right, you can harvest up to 600g/m2 from this strain indoors.

When growing this plant outdoors, due to its short growth period, you’ll need to use fertilized substrates such as All-Mix Plagron Substrate in order to cover the entire stage. During the flowering period you’ll need to use different nutritional bases rich in hydrates and sugars, including products high in PK which are designed to stimulate and fatten buds.

If you plant on using a light substrate you’ll need to use NPK nutrients. Autoflowering plants don’t grow in the same way as light-dependent plants; they usually don’t need to be trained during the flowering period. However, make sure to separate the branches from the stem if they’re growing straight up along it in order to increase airflow for the lowest branches.

With the right care and necessary products during their various different stages of life, this strain can produce amazing yields of up to 700g/m2, growing up to 1.2 – 1.4m tall.
