Legalization of recreational cannabis in the state of Nevada, USA, is now a reality. The famous city of sinners just got even more interesting for tourists due to being able to legally smoke cannabis. The Las Vegas dispensaries will be open to the public 24 hours a day, allowing local consumers to enjoy this marvelous plant whenever they want.
Cannabis is slowly becoming one of the most used medicines in the US; thanks to its versatility and efficiency many people have begun consuming it since its legalization. If the state in question has a law that allows recreational uses you don’t even need permission from a doctor to buy it, which is why the dispensaries in Nevada get thousands of visits a day from both Las Vegas citizens and tourists alike.
Due to the large cannabis demand, the Town Hall had to decide on a new legislation that allows the dispensaries to stay open 24h. North Las Vegas already had a similar service, which is why it was so easy for Las Vegas to get it done so quickly and easily without opposition. This city is known for the freedom that it gives those who love there and those that visit it, so passing a law that allows dispensaries to stay open all night isn’t really that much of a stretch.
During an interview with the general director of Oasis Cannabis (the dispensary that requested the opening hours), he stated that the demand for product was ridiculously high. This dispensary already had permission to open at 6am and close at 3am, so they only had to shut for 3 hours a day.
This still wasn’t enough, as they had to make the absolute most out of their time every day; at 3am people still wanted to get into the shop, and at 6am when they re-opened there was already a gigantic line at the door which would make things go much slower the rest of the day.
This new law can be applied to any of the 26 dispensaries dotted all over Las Vegas, which is thought to be an amazing way to increase tourism; thousands of tourists around the world now see Las Vegas as an even better, if possible, tourist destination. You can now travel to a city that is already famous for its hospitality to tourists, and enjoy their new special laws which allow you to purchase cannabis anywhere, at any time of day or night.
