Reflective Plastic for Indoor Grows

When covering the walls of your grow room or grow tent with reflective plastic, you'll need to use high quality materials in order to make sure that the light from your lighting system can reflect off the walls back to your plants. What is Reflective Plastic for?

Reflective plastic sheeting allows the light from your lighting system to reflect off the walls in your growing area, allowing your plants to make the most of the amount of light they receive during their various growth periods.

This type of product allows lumens to be evenly reflected on your plants so that there's no darker areas that may negatively affect plant growth. Light, metallic colors reflect more light, whereas dark colors absorb light.

The amount of light reflection in your grow room depends on the materials used; we stock various different types such as black and white, smooth metallic and smooth metallic diamond.

The first of these four is thicker, cheaper and easier to set up. Regarding the smooth metallic sheeting, it reflects light perfectly and needs to be attached using tape. The diamond version reflects up to 97% light and also keeps your grow room hidden from thermal cameras.

Make sure that the sheeting is placed tight over the walls in order to avoid creases. We also recommend cleaning it between grows for the best possible results.

How to Line an Indoor Grow

If you want to make sure that you're using your reflective plastic to the best of its capacity, we recommend using a stapler to set it up. If you're using smooth metallic sheeting, you should use tape to set it up.

Make sure to completely line the room, including windows and the ceiling, so that as much light can be reflected as possible. If you have a fabric or cardboard grow tent you can use duct tape or glue to attach it – if it's made of wood you can use a stapler making sure that it's tight.

B/W Thick Reflective Plastic

One of the thickest reflective sheetings on the market; affordable with an average-to-high reflection rate. The 500 gauge model must be cleaned with a cloth and specific spray when starting a new grow. This sheeting is incredibly dense.

Reflective Diamond Eco Plastic

This plastic sheeting reflects up to 99% of direct light and can help to reduce warm spots in your grow tent. It helps to produce more side branches and a more balanced structure and height in your plants.

Reflective Diamond Mylar Plastic

Designed using high quality materials, this sheeting is capable of reflecting over 90% of all light that hits it thanks to its reflective pyramid structures. One of the main advantages of this sheeting is that it can be placed using a stapler, which is much more efficient. It's 125 cm wide and has a hammertone surface. It's mylar reflective material; highly sturdy, recyclable and low in toxic materials.
