Thanks to the genetic makeup of this strain, California Dream is an incredibly balanced strain that tends to produce specimens with very few differences. That’s why it’s such the perfect strain for indoor growing. You can easily place 12 plants under a 600w light, such as a Lazerlite Dimmable Lighting Kit, and watch them grow almost identically. This makes working with your plants much easier, as you’ll have to dose the same amount for each and every plant, which reduces the amount of time that you have to spend taking care of them. One of the best ways to grow this strain is by using SCRoG or SoG methods, and it also does well with being pruned. The only thing that you need to keep in mind with this strain is that it needs less nitrogen than many other cannabis strains, and it needs at least 3 vegetative weeks before you can flip it to flower at about 1m tall. You can harvest around 400-500g per m2, and it takes around 65 days to flower.

Outdoors this strain is perfect for those looking for early-flowering, high yielding plants. This strain should be ready to harvest towards mid-September, so it should avoid the end-of-summer rains, which can be devastating when its buds are large enough – however, California Dream’s structure has mild resistance to fungi and rot thanks to its open buds. California Dream’s properties are quite interesting. In as far as aroma and flavor, it’s quite similar to old school strains, with pungent, sour flavors that are similar to Skunk.
