The Light Rail 4.0 Intelli-drive is an amazing invention that allows you to make the most of the lights used in your grow room without needing to buy more lights, which usually means higher electricity bills. However, if you do decide to get another lamp you can use it with one of these light rails for the best experience.

Good motor and great charge capacity

These rails are 1.8 m long and come with a motor that you’ll need to attach. The motor has a hook from which you can hang your lighting system (reflector and bulb) and a speed/stop controller so that you can set it to your plants’ exact needs. These motors can hold up to 22 kg, so you should be able to hang pretty much any bulb designed to grow cannabis, covering up to 2.4 x 1.2 m when working with a 600w HPS or HM light.

It’s an incredibly helpful accessory that allows you to organize your growing area in various different ways. You can grow using either one or two lights, and one of the biggest advantages is that you can move your lights closer to the plants; the constant movement means that they don’t generate as much heat in just one spot, dissipating much faster. You’ll also be giving your plants a much more balanced amount of light, with light reaching many more parts of your plants than if they were stationary.

If you want to increase the length of the rail you can always use the included accessories to make it longer. For example, the Add-A-Lamp Light Rail Kit is essentially an extra rail that allows you to cover up to 4 m, increasing light distribution to around 4.6 m using two HPS 600w bulbs.

How to set up the Light Rail 4.0 Intelli-Drive

• In order to install this device correctly, we recommend attaching it to a thick slab of wood which you’ll then need to attach to your ceiling as straight as possible and as secure as possible. The most important part here is to make sure that the ceiling and wood used can hold up the entire weight of the rail plus your lighting system.
• Once you’ve made sure that your materials are strong enough, you’ll need to place the motor on the rail and close off both ends. Next, hang your bulb and reflector from the hook on the motor.
• Once everything’s set up, we recommend checking the speed and stop-time of the motor. Play around with it a bit until you’re more familiar with it so that you can adjust it whenever needed.
