This version comes from the original genetic makeup, Sunset Sherbet x Girl Scout Cookies, specifically the Thin Mint phenotype. Out on the East coast in the US this strain is one of the most sought-after strains, also known as Larry Bird in certain dispensaries.
How to Grow Gelatto Indoors
Indoors, this plant has quite a sativa-like growth, with long branches and plenty of space between leaf-nodes, making it perfect for SCRoG Elastic Trellis Netting. With just 6 plants and a mesh, you can grow an amazing 500g per square meter, creating a precious, delicious and aromatic Screen of Green. You’ll need to give this strain quite a long growth period before flipping the lights in order to push more branches to grow – it takes just 63-70 days to flower.
How to Grow Gelatto Outdoors
When grown outdoors this plant is perfect for humid, sunny places making it perfect for coastal areas, where indicas tend not to do so well. There’s plenty of space between nodes, making it perfect for outdoor areas as long as it gets plenty of space – certain phenotypes can grow up to 3m tall, producing up to 800g each. In order to harvest you’ll need to wait until the end of October, although its amazing yield makes it well worth the wait.

It has quite an interesting combination of flavors, which can be citric, sweet and fresh; these flavors have made it what it is today. Its effect is both stimulating and relaxing; the stimulating effect comes into play almost instantly, you'll notice it straight away. However, the relaxing effect comes after a while, slowly invading your entire body with a pleasing relaxing sensation – it can yield THC levels up to 25%.
