Orius Laevigatus is an insect that looks like a teeny, 3mm scarab. These little insects will cover your plants and get rid of any thrips, eating them and leaving their exoskeleton behind.
If you want to get rid of thrips in the most natural and environmentally-friendly way possible, just put some Orius Laevigatus in your grow room. This insect feeds on thrips and other insects such as red spider mites and small caterpillars.
These mini scarabs have long snouts which they use to suck up their prey. They essentially remove all of the juices from thrips and leave behind an empty exoskeleton.
If you have quite the infestation on your hands, they reproduce incredibly quickly, going from egg to adult in 20 days.
You should first try and get rid of the insects using bio insecticides and blue fly traps. Three days later, spray again and then the next day release the Orius in your grow room or outdoors.
You’ll need about 100 of these insects per square meter, and there are about 500 adults and larvae per can.
Due to the fact that these insects are alive, we order them upon request and they are sent straight from the breeder to us. They will take a few days to be shipped.
