Chocolate marijuana cake recipe – step by step:
Having cannabis butter is one of the most important processes when it comes to making this cake, because that’s where the cannabinoids come from. It’s the first thing you need to do, and when you’ve made it you need to let it sit for at least 24h so you’ll need to make it the day before preparing your cake.
To make this butter you’ll need 250g of butter and about 20% of that in leaves, or 10% if you’re using buds. We recommend using both buds and leaves because the quality will be better with bud but you’ll get more out of your bud if you use leaves too.
We recommend boiling your weed in water so that it gets rid of all of the dirt and whatnot, as well as a whole lot of chlorophyll. Cannabinoids need fat cells to unite, so you don’t need to worry about anything going to waste in the water. Once the weed is completely clean, you should begin boiling the butter and introduce the marijuana once it’s melted. You’ll need to keep it on low heat for 30 minutes, which is how long it takes for the marijuana to release all of its properties. Butter has a lot of fat cells that will stick to the cannabinoids, meaning that your weed will be completely useless because all of its properties have been absorbed by the butter.
Once you’re finished heating and mixing, the butter should be completely liquid and floating on top of the water, so you need to put it in a container and let it sit at room temperature. After a couple of hours it should be ready to be put in the fridge, where you need to leave it for an entire day before it’s ready to use. When you come back the next day there should be a hard layer of butter floating on the water.
Preparing the cake is pretty easy and doesn’t take too long; the first thing you’ll need to do is preheat the oven to 180ºC.
Next, you’ll need to melt the chocolate slowly. While the chocolate’s melting slowly, you’ll need to add the lemon juice to the glass of milk and mix well. Once the chocolate is melted, let it sit in room temperature for a bit. Grab another bowl and add the baking powder, the coco, the flour and mix. Now you have everything you need to make your cake.
Next, mix the butter with the sugar but make sure to keep some of the butter to layer the baking tin with so that your cake doesn’t stick. Once the mix is even, add one egg and mix again until it’s even. Repeat this process with all of the eggs one by one, making sure that the mix is completely even before adding the next one.
Now it’s time to add the chocolate, which should be at room temperature but still melted. Add the vanilla extract and mix again. Now you need to add the flour, baking powder and coco mix little by little, adding some of the mix and then some of the milk and lemon, until it’s all in. Now you need to begin blending slowly to get the best texture for your cake. You’ll need to alternate between adding the mix and lemon, adding each about four times each.
The mix needs to be completely even, so we recommend that you take your time to mix it completely. Now you need to line your baking tin with the leftover butter, poor your mix in and it’s ready to go in the oven.
It should only take about 50 minutes to turn into a spongey cake. You’ll need to let it set for a couple of hours at room temperature and viola, it’s ready to enjoy!
This cake has an intense, special flavor; the chocolate ends up intensifying the marijuana taste, leaving an amazing aftertaste with every bite. The effect, as usual with recipes, will take a big longer to make an appearance because it has to be digested first, but it will be much more intense than if you had smoked it.
